PRP Vaginal Injection -
The "O-Shot"

As women age, they may have difficulty achieving an orgasm, or they may experience less frequent orgasms during intimacy. This can be the result of tissue aging in the vagina, around the G-spot, and around the clitoris, all of which can lead to decreased sexual sensation.

The O-Shot® is a non-invasive, non-surgical approach to helping women have orgasms more easily and more often. METALAB's trained injectors provides the treatment to patients who are sexually healthy and in happy relationships but who want to recapture the sensation and drive of their younger years. The O-Shot is an injectable treatment administered to restore the sexual tissues.

How do PRP Vaginal Injections work?

The O-Shot relies in part on advanced treatment and techniques that are currently being used to address concerns ranging from knee injuries to hair loss. Doctors introduce these treatments into the body to promote the formation of new skin and tissue.

Each O-Shot is personalized for every individual patient using their own bodily fluids, meaning there is an extremely low chance of a negative reaction. After preparing the application, the O-shot is injected in a fast and virtually painless process, where the mixture can then begin its work in the body.

As the O-Shot begins stimulating the body’s natural healing processes, the patient may begin to experience a number of benefits, including:

What to Expect During Your Treatment

  • A visit will usually last about 40 minutes. We will invite the patient into our treatment room, where the process will begin with a standard blood draw. This step will allow us to collect the growth factors for creating the patient’s O-Shot.

  • O-Shot preparation: Next, we will transfer the blood to our centrifuge. The results from any of these advanced treatments, whether it’s for cartilage restoration or oral surgery, depend on the quality of the equipment.

  • Application: Patients will receive a strong numbing ointment on the vaginal opening, the anterior wall of the vagina where the G-spot is located, and the clitoris. We gently make injections into each of these areas. The experience is mild enough that patients can return to their regular activities immediately after the visit. There are no restrictions following an O-Shot

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is an Ideal Candidate for PRP vaginal injection?

In general, women who are sexually healthy but who want to improve their ability to climax and the frequency at which they experience an orgasm are good candidates for the O-Shot.

How Many Treatments are Required for Optimal Results?

Our patients can expect to see the full results of their treatment within three months. Their tissue should become healthier and more sensitive, and their sexual response should be more easily triggered. Most of the women we treat come for follow-up injections with the O-Shot every six to eighteen months, with the majority coming in closer to once a year. Patients may require up to three O-Shot treatments to achieve their desired results.

Is There Any Downtime After Treatment?

After your procedure, you may experience mild redness, swelling or numbness for up to a week. Real results can be expected at around 4 weeks (after all swelling is resolved). You can return to sexual activity the night after your procedure, and we recommend you do so since results can be noticed this soon after the treatment. However, full results are enjoyed after a 3 month period.

How long do the effects last?

The duration of the benefits that a patient gets from the O-Shot depends a lot on her body. We find that the more treatment a woman receives in a given area, the healthier the tissue becomes, so it’s important to keep that balance to maintain the results. Repeated treatment over time will help patients learn the duration that they can expect.
