HOW DOES IV THERAPY WORK?
Intravenous (or IV) therapy is a safe way to obtain high doses of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and antioxidants.
IV therapy delivers a compound of nutrients (which is the treatment) through the veins and into the circulatory system. The compound then passes through the bloodstream – directly addressing nutritional issues – while bypassing the stomach and intestines.
Because the compound is delivered immediately into the bloodstream and not swallowed, IV therapy may assist you in tackling nutritional deficiencies swiftly and without side effects. Sometimes high-dosed oral supplements, especially vitamin C and magnesium, may lead to uncomfortable side effects, such as nausea, diarrhea and cramping.

If you are not a patient with one of our naturopathic doctors yet, you’ll need to schedule an Initial IV Assessment appointment with one of our METALAB NDs. This ensures your IV therapy is safely integrated into a personalized treatment plan based on your health history, goals, and any required laboratory assessments.

Once your consultation is complete, your Naturopathic Doctor will provide you with an IV prescription and treatment plan - you can now book your first IV appointment online or give us a call at the clinic
Before your IV Drip
Ensure you are well hydrated and have eaten within three hours prior to your IV appointment. Please allow approximately 30–45 minutes for smaller infusion bags and 60–90 minutes for larger formulations.
