Lyme Disease
Lyme disease is a common infection spread by black-legged ticks found in wooded and grassy areas. If left undiagnosed, it can lead to serious health complications.

The earliest sign of acute Lyme disease is often a rash at the bite site, commonly with a bull’s-eye appearance, developing about a week after exposure. When identified early, standard antibiotic treatment can clear the infection and prevent progression.

However, not everyone develops or notices the rash. As a result, some individuals live with undiagnosed chronic Lyme disease for years. Once the rash fades, diagnosis becomes more challenging, as symptoms often overlap with other conditions and require a different treatment approach.
