Dr. Charity Au, ND

Naturopathic Doctor

Dr. Charity is a naturopathic doctor and community builder. She works with people with menstrual, hormonal, and related concerns (aka "menstruators," people with periods, people with uteruses, women). She believes in root cause medicine, taking a deep dive into the problem to uncover the underlying cause and investigating the connections between the body’s systems. Her treatments aim to correct imbalances and restore harmony within the body, using a mixture of herbal and nutritional supplementation, nutrition counselling, lifestyle changes, mindset work, acupuncture, and other manual therapies.

Dr. Charity is passionate about working with members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, providing a safe and inclusive space to queer, trans, and gender non-conforming folks for self-discovery and healing, and to build a community for them to meet and connect. She is the Markham facilitator of the insanely popular and revolutionary community health initiative, The Wild Collective, which is a group health program that bridges the gap between the traditional healthcare model and the future of healthcare. It is a program that combines health information, social connection, and community support to help its participants regain their body autonomy and tap back into their intuition.

Dr. Charity has and continues to complete additional training in 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusive care, gender-affirming care, and menstrual (women’s) health. She is committed to helping her patients live comfortably and confidently in their bodies by providing them with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to get there.

When Dr. Charity is not in her office, she can be found at her kickboxing gym, on the basketball court, riding her bike, or in her kitchen cooking up a storm with her partner.
